The following information is from Flax Lion Stud in the UK, where Sambertino currently stands at stud:
Prior to arriving in the UK in '99 Sambertino was standing at the Gebr v Manen stud in Holland where he had been standing for the last 3 seasons, siring over 100 KWPN registered foals. As a 4 and 5 year old he was a Pavo Cup finalist. After successfully passing his 100 day test,where he gained 8th place overall, (dressage) out of 43 stallions on test, he competed to Z level dressage, before continuing his ridden career in the UK with an amateur rider. Sambertino is currently the only coloured dressage stallion standing in the UK who has passed a 100 day performance test. He has proven his stud and dressage abilities in Holland and the UK and is now continuing his career in the Hanoverian region of Germany.
