Tasmin is a lovely, well-bred mare with huge potential as a Hunter or Dressage mount for the Junior or Amateur. She is an expressive, balanced mover with a hard-working attitude. She is currently in professional Dressage training and is training level while schooling some 1st level movements. She is a forward thinker with a nice feel in the seat and hand. As a Hunter, she has movement to win the hack and has great form over fences. She has been schooled over small gymnastics and has done some cross-country with a Junior. Tasmin is not only brave, she is safe.

As a proven broodmare, she has passed along her fantastic lineage producing exceptional Dressage and Jumping horses. Her legendary father, Darwin (Roemer/Pion), finished third in his performance test in 1988, scoring nines for his training report, temperament, riding test and trot. He was named leading sire among FEI-level dressage horses in the US for the 1999 competition year according to the SOBA Dressage Sires Report. Darwin is a son of Iron Spring Farm's legendary sire ROEMER, one of the most important producers of dressage horses in the U.S., who is still in 18th place on the list of SOBA Dressage Sires.

Tasmin's dam, Mariposa, was the daughter of Taxateur* who was the first Approved Dutch Warmblood stallion in North America. During a brilliant show career he was AHSA Champion; both the USDF and the CDS Horse of the Year; and a many-time winner at FEI levels. Taxateur has produced successful offspring in many disciplines and was the sire of multiple NA/WPN Top Ten horses.
